After sewing like a maniac yesterday, taking 2 hours out in the middle to go to work, and then sewing again frantically I managed to finish up the quilt blocks! I took this much over to Mom. She loved it! She can't wait to see the finished thing, but I explained it may be awhile yet. She'll have it by her Birthday in August for sure. Tonight is the last class to show us how to do the border around this part of the quilt. I still need to go to the quilt store to pick out background fabric and embroider up a tag to go on the quilt after it is quilted. I'm taking it to a lady here who has one of those nifty long arm machines and does beautiful quilting. I'm even getting excited to see it finished! I'd love to do this pattern again just to work on my half square triangles. Those darn things are my downfall!
